People can go shopping for food and necessary supplies but must get back quickly as soon as possible. People must stay at home unless necessary, e.g. need for medicare or have to work or study. Essential retails will keep open and offer the service. The Medical Officer said the government’s measures have got the effect. PM advises for people over the 70s to stay indoors to protect from the virus. There is a moratorium on evictions for the small business which have financial difficulties.

F Write your personal reflection on the issue in the article
This article is about the new rules which the Prime Minister announced. The PM limits outdoor gathering people to two and the aged people should stay at home to protect them from the Coronavirus. In my opinion, there are some advantages to reduce the gathering and ask people to stay at home. Today, there are more than 4,250 Coronavirus cases in Australia and the virus spread very fast. Staying at home and reducing the gatherings can stop the spread and protect people safely. I strongly believe that the new rules are beneficial to protect the people from the Coronavirus.
